Last Sunday, Grady reminded us that the way of Jesus is meant to make its way into our everyday lives.

He talked about a life that is gradually turned toward God, a life shaped less by checking boxes and more by allowing Jesus to transform us from the inside out. And he reminded us that love is something we practice. We look to Jesus to see what self-giving love looks like, and then we learn to live that way in the relationships and moments right in front of us. 

Near the end, Grady said, “Let the light-filled living do the talking.” 

That kind of living shows up in ordinary places. At home. At work. At church. In the way we speak to people, respond to people, make decisions, and move through life with the people around us.

This Sunday, we turn our attention to the relationships that make up so much of that everyday life.

And relationships can be complicated.

We love people and still get frustrated with them. We care about people and still disagree with them. We can have good intentions and still want to be understood, want things done our way, or struggle to see something from another person’s perspective.

Following Jesus does not make any of that disappear. But it does invite us into a different posture, one shaped by humility, honor, and love.

As you prepare for Sunday, consider this question:

Is there a relationship where Jesus might be inviting me to change my posture?

Maybe there is an opportunity to listen differently. To serve. To encourage. To make room. Or simply to notice what happens in us when things do not go the way we would choose.
