In Christ

Last Sunday, Kai reminded us that what holds our attention will eventually shape us.

Formation does not happen all at once. It happens slowly as we keep turning toward Jesus, bringing Him what we are carrying, and remembering that He is near.

This Sunday, we begin Part Two of A Season of Formation: Living as the Church Together. As we turn to Ephesians, we will begin exploring what it means to be A People Formed as the Church.

And we begin with identity.

Before Paul talks about how we live as the Church, he reminds us who we are because of Jesus.

Our identity is not found in how much we accomplish, how useful we feel, or whether we think we are doing enough. It begins with Christ and what He has already done for us.

We belong to Him.

As you prepare for Sunday, consider this question:

What or who has been shaping the way I see myself?

Take a few moments this week to sit with that question and return to what God says is true about you in Christ.

As we move into this next part of the series, we will also be exploring what it looks like to live as the Church together. That includes serving, connecting through small groups, building relationships, and using what God has given us for the good of others.

Our prayer is that we would become people who know who we are in Christ and allow that truth to shape how we show up for one another.
