Last Sunday, Jacob reminded us that following Jesus changes the way we see and respond to the people around us. Instead of protecting only our own interests, we are invited to notice the needs of others and follow the example of Christ.
That kind of life requires trust.
Trust does not mean we never feel anxious. It means we learn to bring our anxiety, questions, and uncertainty before God.
In Philippians 4, Paul invites us to pray, give thanks, and bring everything to God. He reminds us that we do not have to carry it alone.
The peace of God does not always change our circumstances right away, but it can meet us in the middle of them and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
As you prepare for Sunday, consider this question:
What am I carrying right now that I need to bring before God?
Take time each day to name one thing you are grateful for and one concern you want to place in God’s hands.
These simple rhythms do not erase every anxious feeling, but they can help us practice trust and remember that God is present with us.
Stay churchy this week by making room for prayer and gratitude each day.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
