Last Sunday, we talked about what it means to walk worthy of the calling we have already received.

Not perfectly. Faithfully.

We asked Jesus to show us one faithful step and trusted that He is still forming us, individually and together.

This Sunday, Paul keeps going.

In Ephesians 4, he begins to talk about the places where following Jesus means leaving something behind.

Because becoming more like Jesus does not happen all at once.

There are patterns we have carried for a long time. Ways of thinking, responding, speaking, or relating that may have once felt normal to us. And sometimes part of following Jesus is becoming willing to notice what no longer belongs in the life He is forming in us.

Not with shame.

But with honesty, grace, and a willingness to let Jesus keep changing us.

As you prepare for Sunday, consider this question:

What might Jesus be inviting me to leave behind as He continues to form me?

This week, notice one old pattern that keeps showing up. Instead of judging it or ignoring it, bring it to Jesus and ask what He might be inviting you into instead.
