Hello Vineyard Fam!

Don't rush the story... If we’re not careful, we can rush this week.

We can jump from Palm Sunday straight to Easter, from celebration to celebration, from “Hosanna” to “He is Risen” without sitting in everything in between. But the truth is, the life Jesus offers us is formed in the middle of the story. Not just in the victory, but in the table, in the towel, in the garden, and in the cross. This is the week where everything we’ve been talking about becomes real. This Is the Week That Forms Us.

On Sunday, we saw a crowd welcome Jesus as King, but not the kind of King He came to be. They wanted power, and He came in humility. They wanted control, and He brought surrender. And if we’re honest, we still feel that tension. We want resurrection, but we don’t always want the road that leads there. Jesus doesn’t skip the road. He walks it fully, and He invites us to walk it with Him.

The Table, The Towel, The Garden

On Thursday, we step into a quiet, sacred night. A table where Jesus gives Himself in love. A towel where He kneels and serves. A garden where He chooses to surrender. This is where we see what love actually looks like. Not sentimental or theoretical, but costly, intentional, and given.

Maundy Thursday Service
Thursday at 6:00 PM

We’ll gather for worship, reflection, and communion. It will be a slower, quieter night. A space to receive and respond.

The Cross

On Friday, the story gets heavier. The cross is not just something we believe happened. It is something we are meant to sit with, because this is what love costs. Not control or force, but sacrifice.

Good Friday Service
Friday at 6:00 PM

We’ll walk through the story together with Scripture, worship, and space to reflect. This is not a loud service, but it is a necessary one.

Why We Don’t Skip Ahead

If we rush past these moments, we miss something important. Resurrection doesn’t make sense unless we’ve felt the weight of everything that came before it.

The disciples didn’t arrive at the tomb confident and composed. They arrived confused, afraid, and unsure what was coming next. And maybe that’s closer to where we are than we’d like to admit. This is why this week matters... God does some of His deepest work not in the resolution, but in the waiting.

And then… Sunday

And then we gather again! Not just to celebrate, but to step into something new. Join us for a light breakfast starting at 8:30 AM with hot cross buns, coffee, and continental items. Then we’ll celebrate together as a church family.

The story doesn’t end in the grave. New creation begins, and the invitation is not just to believe that, but to step into it!

A Simple Way to Walk This Week

Don’t rush it. Each day, take a moment and pray, “Jesus, help me walk with You this week.” Pay attention to where you feel resistance, and where you feel invited. Let the story slow you down. Let it shape you.

This is not just a week we observe. It’s a week we enter. If we’re willing to walk it with Him, we may find that by Sunday, something has changed in us, too. See you Thursday, Stay Churchy my Friends!
