Coming King, Surrendered Servant Week Four

The King Who Confronts Idols
Scripture: Daniel 3:13-30 | John 18:33-37
Starting Line: Every age builds its own statues. Babylon’s was gold, Rome’s was Caesar, ours is the mirror. Jesus still stands before every false throne and says, “My kingdom is not of this world.”
Questions for the Ride Home:
- What “statues” do people around you bow to without question?
- Where do you feel the pressure to conform—at work, online, in your relationships?
- What would it look like to trust God’s presence in the fire instead of asking Him to remove it?
Time Between the Sundays — Live It:
Take one ordinary moment this week—at your desk, in a conversation, scrolling your phone—and quietly ask, “Who am I worshiping right now?”
Then choose one small act of loyalty to Jesus that might cost you a little comfort.
Faith is still spelled R-I-S-K.
Prayer Prompt: Lord Jesus, King above every kingdom, teach me to recognize the idols that wear modern faces. Give me courage to stand when the crowd bows, faith to trust You in the fire, and humility to worship You alone. Amen.
