Advent 2023 | Hope

We celebrate Hope, the first week of Advent. The Kingdom of God broke into our world with Jesus' first advent. Now awaiting his second advent, we are confident He will do what He says He will do. This Biblical hope rests on how faithful God always is to fulfill His promises. Contrasting that with the false hope of people like the Wise Men, which is a comfort and covering for decisions and a subjective hope, do we have confident expectation in Jesus? Who in our lives is wishing for something to give them hope and needs to see a star that beckons them to something more?
