Last Sunday, John reminded us that we are saved by grace.
Not because we earned it. Not because we were good enough. But because of God’s great love and mercy, He made us alive with Christ.
This Sunday, we continue in Ephesians 2, and Paul shows us what that same grace begins to create among us.
Because Jesus does not simply save individuals.
He forms a people.
People with different stories. Different experiences. Different struggles. People who may not always understand one another, and probably would not have chosen one another.
And yet, in Christ, we are brought near.
Jesus Himself becomes our peace. He tears down the walls that separate us and creates something new, not because we figured out how to get along, but because of what He has already done.
As you prepare for Sunday, consider this question:
What changes in the way I see other people when I remember what Christ has done for me?
Maybe there is a relationship where you have kept your distance.
Maybe there is someone you have seen through a label before seeing the person.
Or maybe there is someone around you who is still wondering if they belong.
This week, ask Jesus to show you one faithful step toward peace. It does not have to fix everything. It might simply be listening, reaching out, praying, forgiving, or noticing someone you might normally miss.
Stay churchy.
Remember who brought you near, and notice who might still be standing at a distance.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
