Vineyard Church | Weekly Update June 18th, 2025
Jun 18, 2025
Happy Wednesday, Vineyard Family!
This week, the Billings crew is in Denver for the Vineyard National Conference — and so far, it’s been a deeply impactful time of worship, learning, and reconnecting with the wider Vineyard family. I’m reminded again of the Good Shepherd’s voice, calling and gathering His people from all corners, just as we explored in last Sunday’s message.
Jesus said, "I have other sheep… they will listen to my voice. There will be one flock and one shepherd." — John 10:16
Even when we’re scattered, He is gathering. Even when we’re tired or uncertain, He is speaking peace and belonging over us. His voice is still calling — tender, persistent, loving.
This morning, I’ve also been reflecting on Father Thomas Keating’s Welcome Prayer, which helps us create space in our hearts for God’s presence—even in moments of stress or struggle. One line in particular has been hitting me hard lately:
“I let go of my desire for security, affection, and control. I open to the presence and action of God within.”
This week, as you face your own joys or burdens, I encourage you to pause, take a breath, and welcome Jesus into whatever you're experiencing. He is not far off — He is the Shepherd who still gathers.
Thank you for being a faithful and grace-filled community. I’m praying for you while I’m here, and I can’t wait to share more when I return.
With love in Christ,
Adam Greenwell
